Types of fences supplied

There are many types and styles of garden fencing that are suitable for use in a garden. The type provided clearly depends on what the purpose of the fence is actually for. For example, some people simply want privacy in their garden, perhaps allowing you to sunbathe away from prying eyes and give you some peace and seclusion in your back garden. In this case, we would perhaps recommend a high fence, maybe up to 2 metres high so that you get the maximum privacy without turning your home into Fort Knox!

Close Boarded Fencing

Close boarded fencing is a great solution for many gardens. A fence is created through slightly overlapping or adjoining boards (or planks) that sit close together and have the effect of baffling the wind as well as blocking out neighbours and giving you some privacy in the garden. Close boarded fences are pressure treated with preservative so that your garden fence will look great for many years to come. Wooden boards can also be painted or sprayed to match any colour scheme and the paint used can also be impregnated with a preservative to increase the life of the fence.

Fencing Panels

Garden fencing panels are a relatively cheap solution for many people's fencing needs as they cover a lot of ground for little money. There are two main problems that can occur- the panels available through many DIY stores can be flimsy and poorly constructed as they are mass produced, not necessarily to the highest standards. The other issue is that they are in fixed lengths and inevitably the fence will be too long or too short and compromises need to be made. In some cases, they are an excellent solution, particularly if you use our wooden panels as they are strong and will last longer. This is a cheap solution if you are on a tight budget.
